Mansfield State High School was established and opened in 1974 and is known for its academic performance and specialty programs including French Immersion, Music, and Information Technology. The music program at Mansfield State High School is highly regarded and was the 'beginning' of many passionate musicians' careers including The Jungle Giants. Also born out of Mansfield, Australian alternative rock band Violent Soho all attended Citipointe Christian College and now represent the '4122' postcode all over the world.
