What is Ascot known for?
Ascot is known for so many unique suburb features! It is home of Brisbane’s Eagle Farm and Doomben Racecourse which welcome thousands of eager racegoers each year.
Additionally, the schools in Ascot are highly sought after, making the area great for young families.
Residential perks?
Set along wide, tree-lined streets, Ascot has some truly breathtaking homes including a combination of large family estates and grand-scale traditional Queenslanders.

Favourite Café in Ascot?
I can’t simply choose just one so I would have to say Swalk Café and Hamlet on Charton!
Favourite Ascot restaurant and go-to dish?
The Breakfast Creek Hotel (Albion) is the best spot for the Spanish Gardens Steak. Just outside of the suburb is Sunny Doll Japanese – everything on the menu is amazing. Taro’s Ramen has the best ramen on Racecourse Road and Veranda on Racecourse make the best Duck Pancakes. Was I only meant to choose one restaurant?
Something only the locals would know?
Bartley’s Hill Reserve has a beautiful lookout that takes in views of the city skyline. This lookout is one of Brisbane’s best-kept secrets and is easy to access via car.
Best way to get around the suburb?
Would highly recommend walking around this beautiful suburb. During the Springtime, the streets are lined with blooming Jacarandas.

Toombul Shopping Centre is great for your weekly shop and has some great restaurants and entertainment options and DFO Brisbane is the perfect place for some retail therapy!

The Ascot Aquatics Centre is a great spot for fitness and the Brisbane Racing Club is the place to be for all things racing!
Interesting facts?
Located on Henry Street, hillside home Nyrambla, was formerly used as a United States-Australian intelligence base for codebreakers during the Second World War.
Today, Nyrambla is a beautiful nine-bedroom, six-car garage home with an interesting tale!
