As the days become shorter and the air a little fresher, you may be quick to assume you'll be out a lot less. Not to worry, Brisbane's May agenda is offering a plethora of activities to help keep you busy. From festivals to eateries, come along and explore what awaits you this month!
Paniyiri Greek Festival 2024: May 18 - 19
If you fancy a fresh greek salad, saganaki or perhaps a slow-cooked lamb shoulder, then Australia's longest-running cultural festival will be up your alley! Paniyiri, held in South Brisbane's Musgrave Park, attracts more than 50,000 people each year, and for good reason. The two-day extravaganza boasts food stalls as far as the eye can see in celebration of Greece's incredible culinary history. This will be complemented by Greek dance performances to the sweet sound of traditional Greek music. What more could you want? Ensure yourself a weekend of indulgence and secure your tickets here.

Globally and nationally recognised artists will join forces with local artists to transform the city's most popular landmarks into a canvas for incredible murals. Additionally, Superordinary Northshore are hosting large-scale exhibitions set to excite, powerful artist panel talks, and even an artist-led cycling tour highlighting the latest street art around town. The Brookfield Show: May 17th - 19th
Just 13kms outside of the CBD awaits the biggest 'little' country show. The entertainment schedule remains nothing short of extravagant with the highlight event being a full-length circus show brought to life by one of Cirque Du Soleil's Assistant Creative Directors.
Daytime attractions include roaming performers, talent shows, competitions and school bands. As the evening approaches, prepare for a captivating rodeo show, mesmerising trick horse riders, and a spectacular fireworks display to conclude the festivities. Running for only three days, this year's Brookfield Show is not something you'll want to miss. Click here for ticketing information.
