Place Ascot is bringing the Christmas spirit to Ascot Park for an afternoon of community markets and the final auction event series for 2021.
Continuing its support of the local Brisbane community in the wake of the pandemic, Place Ascot is holding a Community Christmas Markets and Charity Auction Event at Ascot Park on Wednesday 1 December from 3.00pm – 8.00pm.
Director & Lead Agent Patrick McKinnon says that they planned the event to give local businesses the opportunity to promote themselves, encourage locals to buy local Christmas gifts, attract new customers to the Community and give them the much-needed boost they deserve after COVID.
“When we approached Brisbane City Council with the idea, we were delighted to hear that they would sponsor us under the Lord Mayor's Precinct Promotion Fund Scheme,” Patrick said.
The markets will take place over the course of an afternoon, finishing off with a residential auction event in the evening (the last of Place Ascot’s Seasonal series for the year) plus a Charity Auction where people will have the opportunity to bid for a commission free sale from Principals Drew Davies and Patrick McKinnon, alongside a robust Marketing pack for the winner’s home - all in the name of charity.
Any profits will be donated to two local charities - Hummingbird House, Queensland’s only children’s hospice; and the Modified Rugby Program, which offers children with learning and perceptual disabilities the chance to play a team sport.
One of the homes being Auctioned at the event is 1 Ferguson Road, Wavell Heights.
Offered for sale through Place Ascot’s John Allen and Patrick McKinnon, 1 Ferguson Road delivers renovator, investor and growth opportunities in a popular pocket of thriving Wavell Heights.
Whether you're shopping for your next place or looking for some Christmas cheer, everyone is encouraged to attend!
Community is at the heart of everything we do at Place. We are incredibly proud to see the continued efforts our teams across Brisbane put in to give back to the community that gives so much to them.
