Whether you're selling or renting out your home, one of the spaces that should be looking its best is your kitchen.
The thing most buyers look for in a kitchen is not only style but also functionality of the space.
We caught up with one of Kitchen Connections designers, Sara Nucifora, to get her top five tips on spicing up your kitchen both functionally and decoratively without breaking the bank.
Tip 1: Laminate Bench Tops
Want to have a stone benchtop look without breaking the bank?
Laminate benchtops are a great, cheaper alternative. They come in all different finishes like timber, marble and stone.
Aside from looking great, laminate bench tops are also very functional and will last a lifetime.
Tip 2: Undersink draws
Undersink draws are a great way to make use of a space that is often unuseable.
They wrap around the entire sink so you can utilise as much space as you can in your kitchen.
Tip 3: Electronically opening rubbish bin
This tip adds functionality to your kitchen.
You can open these bins without using your hands, so if you have your hands full you can just bump it open with a knee.
These bins will also add a point of difference to your kitchen.
Tip 4: Decor Aspects
It’s always good to consider the decor aspect of your kitchen.
For example, pendant lights are a great way to add style and ambiance to the space.
Tip 5: Tile Splash-backs
Glass splash-backs are becoming dated, therefore upgrading your splash-back with a fresh tile is a great way to keep your kitchen on trend.
There are a lot of different options when it comes to tiles for your splash-back. Subway tiles are a trend we have seen a lot of lately and always give the kitchen a modern yet classic look.
