Tips for Styling Your Bathroom for Sale

When styling your home for sale, it’s important to work with every room. However, one room that often goes unnoticed is the bathroom.

Often outfitted in sleek monotonous colours, it provides the perfect backdrop for adding touches when it comes to styling.

While the bedroom will often get throws artfully draped across the bed and endless cushions added, the poor bathroom might only get a sad-looking pot plant.

Jackie Folan-Murphy from Feather My Nest Property Styling says this doesn’t need to be the case.

“It’s easy to create a homely feeling in this often cold room,” says Jackie.

Here are four tips for styling your bathroom for sale!

Tip 1: Declutter and Clean

This is an obvious step, but your home isn’t going to look spick and span without a thorough spring clean.

Wipe surfaces, clear out rubbish and keep only the necessities which can help to make your home look gorgeous!

Tip 2: Add some soft towels

Jackie says one of the easiest ways to add touches of luxury is to add soft towels.

You might not use these in everyday life, so they’re going to be soft and fluffy and really help to provide that hotel feel.

Styling makes your home feel aspirational for buyers and provides a glimpse of what their life would be like inside the home!

Tip 3: Add some accessories

This is the fun part! Add some candles, fancy shampoos and maybe a tray.

Fancy soaps add a touch of class, and there’s nothing better than a bathroom with a beautiful-smelling candle.

Tip 4: Add some plants or flowers

We feel like ‘add greenery’ is the go-to advice when it comes to styling a room, but that’s because it works!

Plants help make your house feel more homely and break up monotonous spaces.

There are some great options for indoor plants and they’re really hard to kill, so talk to your local nursery to find out more!
