Here at Place, we’re fans of Brisbane’s James Street precinct. After all, our Head Office is based on its tree-lined strip! We couldn’t be more excited that the annual James Street Food + Wine Trail (July 29 to August 1) is back again to entice us all with its renowned culinary offerings. It’s time to dig out your ‘eating pants’, everyone.
A celebration of the precinct’s finest restaurants, cafes and providores, the weekend-long festival will feature a slew of brilliant experiences.
Indulge in an exclusive long lunch prepared by the talents at Harvey’s Bar + Bistro after toasting the occasion with a glass of Louis Roederer Brut Premier, or learn about making sustainable eating choices with award-winning chef Alanna Sapwell while sipping something delicious from CRU Bar + Cellar. There will also be plenty to impress wellness-lovers, with a session with The Calile Hotel’s resident yogi Jess Wing.
Undeniably the highlight of the weekend will be its renowned Market Day on Sunday, August 1. Taking over the entire street, the event will see pop-up stalls from the likes of Bianca, Jocelyn’s Provisions, Gelato Messina, Hellenika, SJ Steak & Oyster, Same Same and Sixes and Sevens. Adding to it all is a programme full of live performances, craft workshops and even seedling-planting for children. See you there!
