Friday April 8, 2022 ● By Emily Russ // Place Estate Agents

Spoil yourselves with Belle Époque’s Easter High Tea

Just like that, Easter is here and it’s got us daydreaming of bunnies, the crisp autumn air and mountains of chocolate! This year, Brisbane is playing host to a multitude of fantastic events and experiences. Keen to get amongst it all? It's time to hop to it!

Spoil yourselves with Belle Époque’s Easter High Tea

Looking to indulge? Loved for its enticing sweets and sophisticated style, South Bank’s Belle Epoque Patisserie is marking the occasion with a special Easter High Tea (available over the Easter weekend).

Promising to win over sweet-tooths and luxury-lovers alike, this elegant dining experience invites you to take in the patisserie’s French-inspired grandeur while enjoying treats such as gourmet bunny cookies, hot cross bun scones and carrot cake topped with mascarpone whip ganache. Time to start practicing your raised pinkie teacup technique!

Pick up a paintbrush with Pinot & Picasso

Just a leisurely stroll away, Pinot & Picasso’s South Brisbane venue is offering an adorable Easter Holidays Chick’n Little painting class (April 14) that is sure to get children channelling their inner artist.

Another wonderful option, the group’s Boho Bunny workshop (April 16) is perfect for those a little more advanced in their creative skills. Located a little further afield? Don’t miss the all-ages ‘Eggscelent’ painting class at Pinot & Picasso's Ashgrove, Nundah Village and Redcliffe venues.

Catch live music at New Farm Park

Live music, food trucks, chocolate and blossoming gardens – we can’t think of a more idyllic scene! Taking over cherished New Farm Park for an afternoon of Easter-inspired delights, Bands in the Parks is presenting an unmissable Easter Bunny Boogie celebration complete with music from the South Brisbane Federal Band and Rivercity Steel Band (April 10). Pack a picnic blanket, grab a delicious bite to eat and settle in for a truly sensational afternoon.

Discover giant inflatable rabbits in the city

You’d be forgiven for thinking you’ve stumbled into a scene from Alice in Wonderland when you visit the mesmerising Intrude exhibition from artist Amanda Parer. Undeniably charming, this free-to-attend exhibit at the city’s Brisbane Quarter showcases a collection of huge illuminated rabbits.

Quite literally shining a light on the creatures’ environmental impact and how they’re perceived in society, Intrude has enchanted attendees across the world and it’s easy to see how!

Wander through a bayside market

Still catching up on your Easter gift shopping? Running alongside its usual weekly markets, the Cleveland Easter Markets (April 10) on Bloomfield Street will feature over 75 stalls from local artisans and providores. Expect everything from baked goods and children’s clothing to art and plants. We wouldn’t blame you if you came home with a gift for yourself!
