The Sherwood State School Fete is always a wonderful event for the local community.
Parents and locals all chip in to lend a hand on the day, manning stalls and making everything from cakes to jam.
It was a beautiful day to be out and about on Saturday, with cool temperatures and endless blue skies.
The oval was awash in colour from rides and balloons, and the children ran around, eagerly checking out the all the stalls. The crowd favourite was, as always, the cake stall.
We chatted to Alan Duffield from the Fete Committee about the 2018 fete, and what makes it so important for the local community.
