Experienced Real Estate Agent, Kai Liu, has joined Place New Farm and brings with him his talented executive assistant, Kelsey Tarrant.
“We’re excited to have Kai and Kelsey as part of the Place family and look forward to seeing him continue to thrive and grow under our brand,” Place New Farm Managing Director, Sarah Hackett, said.
Mr Liu, who specialises in marketing Brisbane CBD apartments, listed 100 properties in 2023, attributing a lot of his successes to being bilingual and having seamless team processes.
“Kelsey has been in the industry for six years and is someone who can adapt and take on multiple roles within the business, enabling me to focus on client relationships; we work well together,” he said.
Mr Liu came from China to Australia as a student in 2007, and to gain residency, studied a Master of Business majoring Professional Accounting.
“Initially, real estate wasn’t part of the vision, however, I was poached to be an agent and I needed a job at the time.”
“Now, I couldn’t picture myself doing anything else,” he said.
Mr Liu secured his first listing almost a decade ago through an advertisement in a local Chinese newspaper.
“Being able to speak a different language has significant benefits, particularly when it comes to Chinese vendors who want to be able to communicate in mandarin regarding the sales processes.
“But it’s also beneficial working with English speaking vendors, because a lot of Chinese buyers are interested in apartments in Brisbane’s CBD,” Mr Liu said.
The award-winning agent and his experienced EA said they wanted to join Place because they had admired the company’s marketing, offices and overall “good energy”.
“It has always been an aspirational family brand with high-performing established teams,” Mr Liu said.
“The process moving over to Place from a different brand has been seamless – we are truly impressed.”
Miss Tarrant said she was excited to grow her career within Place, with the company’s backend services allowing her to help Mr Liu in other aspects of his business.
“The recourses that Place’s Head Office provides allows us to grow our team in ways we didn’t believe possible – we are excited to use these exceptional services,” she said.
