Kitchens are the heart of the home.
Whether you're selling or renting out your home, the first thing that should be up to date and in tip-top shape is your kitchen.
Ensuring the space is functional and current are two main factors people consider when purchasing a home.
We caught up with Greg Bazzo, owner of Baztech Constructions, to find out three easy and cost effective tips to modernise your kitchen.
Tip 1: Stone Bench-tops
The first thing that catches your eye in a kitchen are the bench-tops.
Greg suggests replacing laminate bench-tops with a new and improved stone bench-top.
Stone is a material that is on trend, modern and functional.
It will instantly give your kitchen a more high-end feel.
Tip 2: Splash-backs
Replacing old dated splash-backs is a great way to add some flare to your kitchen.
Splash-backs give you the freedom to be a little creative with the space.
“Glass splash-backs are slowly becoming dated, therefore, replacing this with an interesting tile will instantly uplift the look of the entire kitchen,” says Greg.
Tip 3: Cabinets
One of the key features in a kitchen are the cabinets and handles. They give a kitchen the overall look and feel.
Greg says “replacing old cabinets with a new and improved simple style will give your kitchen a modern look and feel.”
When it comes to handles, he suggests going for something structured with a silver finish.
