Foodies, rejoice! As of last weekend, restaurants and cafes in Brisbane were allowed to open their doors and have up to 10 patrons dining at once. For most, lockdown has meant takeaway feasts and taking home cooking up a notch but now, going out for a coffee, drink or meal is back on the menu!

Epic burgers, need we say more? Word on the street was that was a line up here last weekend when they opened their doors again so get in quick if you’ve got it on your mind!

This newbie graced the west-side in March and quickly built up some loyal fans who have since been loving the takeaway options. Pop in any day (except Tuesday) to try their delightful all-day breakfast. Book here.

This café serves up a winning combination of coffee and cake and has long been a local favourite. Take a stroll and grab a seat.
Kangaroo Point & Surrounds
A seafood lovers heaven, this fish and chip shop is a little bit fancy and once again welcoming guests to dine in. 5-10 guests can enjoy private dining every Thursday-Sunday including lunch on the weekends. Enquire on their website.

Shucks Bar, Manly
Oyster lovers unite! Stroll on into shucks on the water for all your shellfish needs. Follow their Instagram to keep up to date with their weekly specials inspired by different places across the globe. Book online.
Le Bistro, Manly
Head into Le Bistro (and visit the Place Manly team while you’re there) for the best selection of pastries, cakes and savoury treats to enjoy with your coffee. You can also grab some to bake at home while you’re there!
New Farm & Surrounds
City Winery, Fortitude Valley
City Winery have been doing some amazing things whilst not being able to physically open their doors. Finally, their beautiful venue is open for the public with Fireside Dinners on the weekend and walk ins available any time during the week. Head to their website to book.
Miss Jones, New Farm
Our team at New Farm love Miss Jones, and it’s not hard to see why. Their breakfast menu and specialty coffee is incredible, plus the café itself is pretty and pink! They recommend booking ahead on their website.
Mrs Brown’s Bar & Kitchen, Newstead
Good news! This awesome bar is back for full table service every Thursday, Friday, Saturday for lunch and dinner. We expect this will be a sell out, so be sure to book via their website.

Ramen Danbo, Sunnybank Hills
The perfect winter warmer, Ramen Noodles. Ramen Danbo is arguably the most loved Ramen joint in Brisbane and we suspect it will be busy given its not the simplest thing to make at home. Get in quick!

Woolloongabba & Surrounds
Canvas & Electric Avenue, Woolloongabba
In the gorgeous vintage precinct where our ‘Gabba office lives, is a hub of cafés and restaurants including Canvas Club and Electric Avenue Jnr. Owned by the same people, these local favourites are opening their doors once again. Think tapas, burgers and sensational cocktails. Call ahead to avoid disappointment.
Brown Dog Café, Woolloongabba
Grab your pooch and head to brown dog café, a lesser known café in Woolloongabba but certainly one of the best! Call ahead to reserve a table in the sun and enjoy the brisker mornings.
1889 Enoteca, Woolloongabba
A true gem of Brisbane, Enoteca is back serving their Italian wine and cuisine 7 nights a week, plus lunch on Sunday. If you have had a special occasion coming up (or being able to dine out again is enough) then call to reserve, as this place books out on a normal day!
As much as it’s exciting to be able to dine out again, make sure you book as nearly all restaurants and café’s will be implementing strict policies to ensure you can get the best experience possible. As restrictions are gradually removed, expect to see this list grow as our wonderful city get its energy back.
