Kate Carter has been teaching the suburb of Oxley not to be scared of a little mess.
Kate has two small children, and felt that there was a gap in the market for a business which allowed kids to get messy and experience new textures in a controlled environment.
She started The Messy Play Company about 20 weeks ago and so far it’s a raging success!
Kate doesn’t have many rules and tells kids to “Live your dream” and go crazy with the messy items.
“I draw the line at property damage,” she laughs.
“There’s stations set up all over the place but the stations can be intermixed,” Kate says.
“I’ve had a lot of parents who really don’t like mess and don’t like their kids getting dirty and it’s been a real eye-opener for them!”
We went along to a session called “Things that make you go EW” and had a chat to Kate about the concept behind The Messy Play Company!
