Unique cuisines, karate on stage and parades through the school grounds, Corinda State School's annual Festival of Nations is not your average fete.
With plenty of regular school fetes in the area, Corinda State School needed something different to stand out.
And so, the Corinda State School Festival of Nations was born in 2015 and it’s back for round two on July 29, 2017.
The Festival of Nations celebrates different nationalities from around the world.
From foreign cuisines to belly-dancing presentations, this day celebrates everything.
We spoke to Samantha Bailey-Jensen, a mum from the school who’s part of the the team organising the festival, about what we can expect on the day.
Make sure you head along for a colourful, exciting and delicious time!
What else is a bit different about the day?
We’ve got the kids from our music program, we’ve got a Chinese Orchestra and people from the MacCulloch Highland Dancing School.
We’re also excited to say that we’ve got a signed State of Origin Jersey from this year up for auction, so if you’re a mad footy fan come on down and at 1:35pm, Paul Eaton from Place Graceville will be auctioning that off for us!
