Made from the finest ingredients using unique scents, the hand poured soy candles from Lumen + Luxe will help set the mood for any occasion whether it be a lazy Sunday afternoon or fabulous social gathering.
Kyla Skyes and Marina Apostolova are the ultimate ‘mumpreneurs’, making the candles from scratch out of their impressive studio (aka Kyla’s garage in Balmoral), while running around after their young children.
Balancing mum life and the business, you could say that Kyla and Marina have perfectly managed the juggling act…or perhaps it’s the calming essential oils that scent their daily life!
We sat in on a very exciting morning for the ladies where they made the first batch of their brand new energy scent, ‘Zing’, a blend of nutmeg, bergamot, mandarin, basil and lemongrass.

What makes Lumen + Luxe unique?
At Lumen + Luxe we focus on using good quality ingredients for all of our products.
We use Cherry Wood Wicks that crackle when they burn – who doesn’t love that sound!
We use four essential oils that are all 100% natural. The soy wax that we use is also natural so therefore we have great options available for vegans as well as people with allergies or organic preferences.
What makes our products so unique is our range of fragrance oils. We scent our candles to the highest fragrance so the smell can fill an entire room (without being overpowering).
Something else that’s unique to Lumen + Luxe is our exclusive concrete candles.
We enjoy getting our hands dirty to make batches of concrete which we then form into moulds, sand them, seal them and fill them with wax.
