What does a Sales or Executive Assistant role cover?
Regarded as the backbone of sales and real estate business, a Sales or Executive Assistant ensures the seamless flow of transactions and the completion of any relevant paperwork for the listing agent. Essentially acting as an agent’s ‘right hand ‘person’, these fast-paced roles provide fantastic opportunities for those looking to start or further their real estate careers.
At the heart of these roles are tasks such as monitoring the status of a property that’s for sale and organising any marketing material, as well as communicating with clients and potential buyers.
Additionally, these roles also usually involve managing a sales team’s schedules, setting up meetings and organising contracts. “For my role, it’s a mixture of managing the agent’s property listings and providing the best customer service to clients by helping manage the agent’s calendar and emails,” said Belle. “Each Executive or Sales Assistant role can vary as it comes down to what is important to the agent they work for and what is the best way to relieve any potential organisational stress.”
What does a typical day involve?
Those that love a to-do list and have strong organisational skills are a great fit for sales administration. Belle explained in her role, her ‘average day’ typically starts the day before. “I make sure all appointments packs are ready and appointments are confirmed the day prior,” said Belle. “Next, I’ll ensure the Agent’s ‘call list’ is up-to-date and that any materials she might need are printed and on her desk. Then I’d monitor emails and write a general checklist for the day.”
